He was angry at the sheer amount of people who were getting ripped off by "Cowboys" who were simply after making a quick dollar or two. By opening rated people,r8d-traders he aimed to bring about a much easier means of finding good traders who would complete the work to a brilliant standard, which is always the aim of rated people,r8d-traders.


By allowing the customers to rate the work which they had completed, it makes it easier for future customers to gauge how good this person is at their job and if they are trustworthy. Also, by operating the "3-Strike" policy it makes it a much simpler method of dismissing people who are not going to uphold the expectation of us here at rated people,r8d-traders.


We believe that customers should be able to post their jobs for free!

So dont delay sign up and post a job for free.

We aim to bring you the customer good quality traders of all kinds.This site is totaly free to our customers.

We understand how hard it can be to find the right trade for the right job.
We act as a mediator between you the customer and the trades on this site.We do not allow our traders to price on works until they have been vetted by us at r8d-traders.We also check on our traders at random times once works have been completed.
All parties will be informed of any checks prior to works starting.

What do I get?

As a customer you have the opportunity to post jobs and receive quotes, possibly even three. This makes it much easier for you to choose the perfect quote as you can compare these possible three against one another and check the previous ratings on those traders to avoid the aforementioned "Cowboys". Once you have chosen the quote of your choice, you will then be put into direct contact with that trades person. Once your job has been completed you will have the chance to express your views on this work and rate the trader .This allows future customers to see what sort of standard of work to expect from this trades person.
If you have a trade person who has no ratings this may mean they are new to the site.If you wish to check them out you can contact us by email and we will return to you with in 3 working days with the information. Also we at rated people,r8d-traders will check the works of any works at random once works completed.All parties will be informed of this before works start.

We will only pass your details onto traders once they have agreed to quote.

Once you have three quotes your information is passed onto the three traders in question , it will be down to you the customer and the trader to finalize the price and terms.

You as a trader


On registering you will be able to access all of our site but you will not be able to quote on jobs until vetted, this is so each company can be vetted as a company.this will help us to keep away any trade that does not meet our guide lines.Once you are vetted are up and the vetting , you will then be asked to pay £50 yearly membership fee. For this fixed price you will then be able to place quotes on all jobs posted on the site in your selected categories.

Once you have signed up and paid your fee you are then able to bid on the jobs on our site.

Once you see the jobs you wish to quote on you will be asked to pay a small referral fee £8 this fee remains the same and will never go up like other sites. This then enable"s us to send customer details of contact.


Once you have received the customers contact details it is then down to you the trader and the customer to finalize the price and terms.

Then once you the trader has looked at the job, you then come back and place your bids on r8d-traders site.

Each job can only accept three bids once all the bids are in, then the customer can decide which one of the three traders they will choose.

Then once the job is complete the customer will return to r8d-traders where they will rate the trader who has completed the works required and then future customers can view those ratings. The ratings system will be operated on a mark out of 10 basis.

Please note we will be checking works at random you and the customer will be informed of this before works start.
